Lady Omega

Larissa and Omega sit in the diner, as Larissa expressed a wish for a private talk with her. After ordering the meal and the polite rounds, Larissa decides to cut to her concerns with a sigh.

"I assume you have heard about me...." Omega smiles quietly “I hear many things”

“You know how much I love Lorne, and I struggled. I was jelous of every pebble in the city, Lady Omega. But I handled it, and I just wanted to love, without any gain. I am just overwhelmed.” She stops, swallowing. “And then with Nareth... That was unexpected. There are so many ways to love. “ Lar struggles with how to continue, and speaks quietly. “When I told her I was pregnant, she was so mad. Something went cold inside me, I did not want to hurt her feelings, I was so happy and wanted to share. I just stood there”

”... pregnant?”

Larissa looks up to a rare expression of surprise in Omega.

”that.. that I had not heard.”

”Yes... I thought you have heard.” Larissa blushes.

”Congratulations?”

Larissa Starostin breathes faster.. "Oh" she pauses and looks at her shyly "Thank you..."

Omega Althouse hesitates, almost afraid to ask.. "and.. Lorne?"

Larissa Starostin blushes more and nods, not looking her in the eye, but glowing, slowly looking at her.

"I.. well. The very best to both of you. You will have whatever assistance you need, Larissa."

Larissa bites her lower lip, concentrating on the salad, her hands trembling a bit. "I...thank you."

"Strange.. how new life... even in this place.. " Omega Althouse shakes her head, unable to articulate it...

Larissa nods, looking around. "I cant find words Lady Omega, how happy I was"

"Then, I rejoice in your happiness... I know Lorne loves you very much. "

Larissa Starostin looks into her eyes at those words.

"And I know you have struggled.. with his affections. You must remember.. in the same way you feel love for him, and for the child growing within you... one love does not diminish another. "

Larissa nods, blinking away a tear, her hands trembling stronger "Nareth..."

Omega nods… "There is love.. even in this place.. love. Love and life. For some. "

Larissa exhales a considerate amount of air, relieved and stays silent for a while. She adds then, fast as she can, as if even saying it hurts. "Nareth said she should rip it out of me."

Omega Althouse shakes her head..

"Three days ago… And I... understood her. But could not accept she does not understand me. "

"I will not allow that to occur. "

"I think Legion.... " Larissa hesitates.

"and I think.. nor would she, not truly. " Omega is still shaking her head.

"I never told Lorne what she told me… But Legion appeared after that, lady Omega"

"I do not think you should hide such a thing from him. Perhaps she spoke in shock, in haste.. Nonetheless. If some harm were to come to you, and Lorne found, this threat had been hidden from him. He would be wroth, I think. "

Larissa nods. "She totally changed, Lady Omega. She is brainwashed."

Omega nods in agreement. "She needs help. "

"She says now I would be a good mum, Lady Omega, you were there. That is why I thought you knew"

Omega sighs "I.. I was going to say pray, but in truth, I can not pray.. but I fervently wish we ... I.. will be able to help her. "

Larissa nods with a final relief. "Thank you."

Omega closes her eyes, as a tide of resignation washes over her. "I promise you this. I will do all in my power to ensure your child's safety. All.. All in my power."

Larissa nods, her tears flowing freely on her cheeks.

Omega mutters very quietly.. "heaven help us all."

We are books, each of us

Nareth nods anxiously towards Larissa.

Larissa walks down quietly and smiles at her. "Evening, Nareth."

"Good evening, larissa. Are you...well? "

"Yes, very well, thank you. And you?"

"I am...uncertain. But that is nothing new. I was worried for you. I would have you know that I am deeply grateful for what you gave me last night. "

Larissa smiles. "I am eager to learn, Nareth, I should be grateful to you."

Nareth seems to watch Larissa a moment from behind the lenses of her goggles.
"To learn? "

Larissa shrugs. "Yes. I am curious about the world. All aspects."

Nareth nods and looks towards the fire. "It is not something which I share, but something I can comprehend. "

Larissa smiles. "By the way, what abut Toxia today? How are things proceeding or halting or whatever?"

"With regards to what, specifically? "

Larissa waves around. "Ah, anyting interesting, dear Nareth. "

Nareth thinks a moment. " I so rarely leave the library... I saw Lio earlier, but I think he's afraid of me. I saw Myriam...but the less said, the better. "

Larissa Starostin chuckles and raises an eyebrow. "Oh, why?"

"Otherwise...well, there was that man from the Coven earlier. I think he was trying to prove something...but I am uncertain what. Otherwise, I have have been sitting and watching the fire and thinking of your sacrifice. "

Larissa Starostin stares into the fire and smiles weakly.

Nareth whispers, very quietly, almost too softly to be heard, "No one's born, and no one dies, no one lives, so no one cries..."
Nareth glances towards the windows, continuing, "and we wait to see just what we will become ."

Larissa Starostin looks out the window and chuckles. "What about Myriam, Nareth? I am deeply interested in how that turns out. She was the very first I was not jelous about."

"How curious. Are you jealous of me, Larissa? "

Larissa Starostin smiles into the fire. "I am not jelous anymore Nareth. It is gone."

"But...you were. " Nareth smiles very slightly.

Larissa Starostin frowns. "I was jelous of anyone Nareth, my pride demanded it."

"Pride. I do not know pride. Not precisely. "

Larissa Starostin closes her eyes for a while. "Oh, it is quite a common one. I still have lots of it, but I am in control."

"When I was...taking joy from you last night, I saw... " Nareth trails off, uncertain. "Do you still know pain, Larissa, when you feel it? Do you know it *as* pain?"

"Oh, yes. "

Nareth nods slowly. "Tell me that you are not afraid of me, please. That is what I faer, most of all. After last night... "

"I am not afraid of you, Nareth. Why would I? "

"I am... " Nareth Nishi sighs.

Larissa chuckles. "I understand"

Nareth: "I take delight in the suffering of others. And I do not know regret or conscience...only how to pantomime those things."

Larissa leans forward. "I am not afraid of lots of things others are, Nareth. I understand your delight. It is indeed scary, I admit."

Nareth: "Lorne says that i am not evil, not truly...but I suspect he may not be speaking truthfully. "

Larissa Starostin shakes her head. "He talks his own truth."

Nareth nods. "That he does. "

Larissa laughs. "I wonder what does he consider evil"

Nareth: "I wonder that as well."

Larissa smiles. "I will have to ask him about that then. "

Nareth: "So...you asked about Myriam."

Larissa: "Yes, I did."

Nareth: "Were you not here when Omega dismissed her? "

Larissa Starostin shakes her head.

Nareth Nishi: "She demanded an apology from Nerissa, for some real or imagined slight, an apology or a duel. Omega told she she would have neither. And she was dismissed, but she was furious. She threatened some sort of retribution. I asked Lorne and Omega if I might not at least take some souvenir from her... " Nareth laughs softly.

Larissa Starostin nods. "How sad."

Nareth Nishi: "Is it?"

Larissa nods. "She was the first I was kind to."

Nareth glances at Larissa.

Nareth: "But you have been here some time, yes?"

Larissa: "I mean the first of Lorne's fresh assistants.

Nareth: Oh, I see.

Nareth: "I am uncertain what I am to Lorne. Not an assistant, though. That would be too simple. I think I may be a ward...perhaps. Something he is meant to mentor or guard. Train. Prepare, I don't know. "

Larissa Starostin shrugs. "He calls me apprentice. I call him Lorne Harlequin."

Nareth: "Apprentice. It has a nice ring. May I ask you a question, Larissa? It is personal. "

Larissa nods. "There are so many things one can learn. Oh, Nareth, please do, I love questions."

Nareth nods. "Do you love him?" She pauses "You do not have to answer, if you do not wish to do so."

Larissa's face brightens. "With all my heart, Nareth"

Nareth: "That is good. I am very glad to know that. I can feel...joy, and passion...great passion...but I do not think I am capable of feeling love."

Larissa smiles. "Great passion is beautiful"

Nareth: "I can appreciate beauty...yes. But, I wish I could know love...or hatred. So...you say you would learn?"

Larissa smiles at her. "Love does not ask questions, Nareth, love does not demand. And hatred..... well that is all about questions and demands. Still, so close to love.

"I do Nareth, I wish to learn a lot."

Nareth considers what Larissa has said.

Nareth: "From me? You know what I have to teach."

Larissa smiles at her. "Oh, you seem to be a fine teacher, Nareth, I do wish to learn from you a lot. But let me show you a beautiful gown before."

Nareth smiles. "Yes, please do."

Ashura Caudron had snuck his way into the library.. hoping he hadn't been seen. was he to be spotted leaving, it would be with a leatherbound textbook. an inventory would reveal a missing "applied nuclear theorum" book missing..

Larissa takes a mental note of that, and a library card appears in the book.

Larissa smiles to Nareth. "Ok, I will be upstairs, then, just a sec."

Nareth: "Very well. I will wait. "

Larissa Starostin changes into a beautiful golden gown and looks up, shyly. "Oh, I am sorry I didnt see you were here." She blushes.

Nareth is speechless for a moment. "It is like...the sun. It is entirely beautiful."

Larissa walks down, and turns around. "Oh, indeed."

Nareth: "It was very like the sun descending the staircase...setting in the library. "

Larissa's face brightens up. "I have not yet shown this to anyone."

"I am the first? "

Larissa Starostin nods.

Nareth Nishi: "Then I am honoured." Nareth stands slowly.

Larissa Starostin curtsies. "I am ready for some knowledge"

Nareth Nishi: "Knowledge... " Nareth glances upstairs.

Larissa Starostin nods slowly. "What we experience, becomes ours."

Nareth: "I wonder if this is the best place to teach you. The library was not entirely pleased with me. "
Larissa nods. "I understand."
Nareth: "The sentry... "

"Let's go back upstairs, Larissa. "

Nareth Nishi: "One does not need a blade.... Though I am terribly fond of them."

Larissa Starostin walks upstairs gracefully and stands. She smiles at the statement, watching Nareth’s back as she stands by the window. Nareth stares down at the street below, savouring the weight of the razor in her hand.

Nareth: "You said that, at first, I merely tickled you. I would not wish to make that mistake again. That would only waste our time."

Larissa Starostin pales slightly, but stands, her smile trembling a bit.

"I know this, Larissa. This is one true thing. We are books, each of us. "
Nareth slashes across Larissa's chest with the razor, just cloth and slicing flesh to the bone.
"Open us to any page and we are red. " Nareth smiles and slowly licks the blood from the razor's blade.

Larissa Starostin looks around trying to say something and the slash catches her off guard. Her eyes widen, but she stays silent. Nareth watches larissa's eyes very closely. "You are in pain?"

Larissa looks down at her bleeding wound, and swallows, her teeth clenched. Tears show up in her eyes, and she nods.

Nareth: "Yes...it *does* hurt. You do still know pain. But you are far better at managing it than are most. "
Nareth touches the blade to the gash in Larissa's chest, forcing the edges of the gash open still farther.

Larissa nods, slowly and clenches her fists too. She trembles, but stands, unable to watch anymore. She looks out the window.

Nareth: "It is almost more than I can endure... Not taking your life. And I wonder, if I did, could I give it back again? I have never tried to return a life. "

Larissa shakes, and falls to the ground, unable to restrain a deep groan.

Nareth: "Oh, poor thing. Stand up, Larissa. We are not done. Stand up."

Larissa Starostin shakes her head to think clearly, and she struggles up to her feet.

Nareth: "Very, very good. "

Lar sways, and balances herself with her hands reaching into the air, blood smearing all over her gown.

Nareth raises the razor again...

Larissa claims with a hoarse voice "Ah, just a scratch..."

Nareth laughs very loudly. "You have spirit...beautiful spirit. "

Nareth brings the razor down again, but this time, to Larissa's surprise, Nareth slahes open her own left wrist. "Yes... "

Larissa Starostin sways and does look surprised, reaching out to her, as if through a haze.

Nareth stares down at her own blood dripping to the stone floor.

Nareth: "Now...are you ready for something more?"

Larissa takes some steps, almost fainting, but nods, her voice still failing her.

Nareth reaches out, gently encircling Larissa in one arm to keep her from falling.
"I think I remember the way inside."

Larissa Starostin cries out in anticipation, and trembles in Nareth's embrace.
Nareth smiles... "If I knew love, I if I could know love, I might in this moment love you."

And then Nareth drives the razor into Larissa belly, forcing the blade like a dagger.
"Do not fall. Do you feel it, inside you? Just nod."

Larissa Starostin crouches a bit, and nods very slowly, wincing.

Nareth: "It is me, you know. It is only another part of me. Nareth twists the razor, slicing through bowles and driving the blade towards Larissa's spine."

Larissa Starostin breathes rapidly through her nose, gripping Nareth with both hands not to fall over.

Nareth: "I am strong. I could hold you up forever. Now, in this moment, tell me what you know." Nareth twists the blade again.

Larissa Starostin's eyes widen, and she spasms, still holding onto her, opening her mouth, and closing it again to clear her throat. She groans "I know pain"

Nareth bares her teeth, a low growl rising from her throat. "Yes...and pain is only the farthest end of pleasure. They are sisters, pleasure and pain... Forever linked, and yet so few understand." Slowly, Nareth begins to withdraw the blade.

Nareth: "You are dying, Larissa. Can you feel that?"

Larissa Starostin gets paler and paler, shaking with the exhaustion of chatting while ripped apart. Her head sinks, and her grip weakens on Nareth.

"Yes, I thought you could. And if I were to let you die, well, that would be the end of me, wouldn't it? "

Nareth slips the razor the rest of the way out and it dissolves back into her palm.

Larissa Starostin raises her head, coughing up blood instead of chuckling.

Nareth leans down and kisses her, tasting her blood. "Delicious... But...there is so little time for joy. " Nareth pulls Larissa closer. "No, you will not die this night. Not by my hand.
Nareth Nishi: Though, I can not lie...it would be joyous."

Nareth leans forward again, and with a second kiss, she begins to knit severed tissue together once again, to return spilled blood to Larissa's veins. Even the bloodstains on her dress vanish.

Larissa Starostin weakens with every move, her insides burning her alive and she faints.

Nareth feels her consciousness slipping away, and holds her limp body up. "Stay with me, child. Burn, as the fire burns downstairs."

Inside Larissa's body, organs are quickly healing....

Larissa Starostin moans, as her inner sides repair themselves, and her eyes flicker.

Nareth: "Only a few moments more. If I could take the pain for my own, oh... If I release you will you fall?"

Larissa Starostin looks up at her, and grabs her arms.

Nareth: "I'll take that as a yes."

Nareth: "It is only shock. It will pass, like rain or thunder. Let it go."

Larissa clears her throat again, as the healing is not painless neither. "That.... was...." she groans again.

Nareth: "There is great power in you."

Larissa is getting more colour, and smiles weakly. "Ah... thank you... I guess."

Nareth: "You guess?"

Larissa crouches at the memory. "Well, it hurt" she chukles.

Nareth: "Was that not the sort of knowledge you desired?"

Larissa Starostin nods. "Deeply"

Nareth: "Wait...you desire all knowledge. I remember. " Nareth looks at her own wrists, still bleeding. "I will let this bleed a bit longer... Can you walk as far as those chairs, if I keep an arm about you?"

Larissa lets Nareth help her to the chairs and falls in one.

Nareth's joy

The library is full, Nareth has just announced she bought a new dress, which seems to be an especially rare circumstance and was convinced to show it to all of us. She went upstairs and changed, coming down in a beautiful gown. Larissa swears everyone was surprised how beautiful this girl thing called Nareth can be, always wearing a trenchcoat, and appearing in dark goggles these days. She did not take off her goggles though. She sits by the fire as the conversation drifts away from her dress and Lari decides to sit nearby, leaning closer to her, stroking her face very briefly. Larissa remembers Nareth trembled when she first touched her, confused, as if not used to such gentle care. At that time she just wanted to check her palm, because Nareth seemed to struggle with a reopening wound, which seemed to be healed over and over again. It was wierd, but she was always wierd. Once, as Larissa walked into the same room they are in now, and found Lorne with her. Larissa is usually not interested of others He finds comfort in, but Nareth… Larissa watched her fire-lit face as she sat by the fire, and leaned closer. So, she stroke her face very briefly "Are you all right?"

Nareth looks back at Larissa, confused, unused to maybe any such soft touch, then shrugs. "I am...fine," she says, but she is not too convincing. Larissa is doubtful. “You don't seem to be fine, you seem... melancolic.” Nareth furrows her brow and stares into the fire. "Not sad," Nareth whispers. "I would not say...melancholic."
Larissa nods and stares at the fire, without any feelings. "In that fire you can see my desires burning. I have channelled them all. I can't live with them, as they burn me up."

Nareth, more confused, stares at the fires and ponders the meaning of what Larissa is saying.
“No desire? None?”
“None. All burn, in there. The library needs energies, Nareth. I had a lot in them.”
“You gave it your...desire?
Larissa looks at the fire, and nods.
“My desire for Him. I needed to channel it unless I explode. Now I am at peace. -- the fire seems to be warmer as they speak, but burns happily.”
“Oh. “
“I gave him...my...it's a secret, Larissa. And I am not at peace. “
Larissa nods. Nareth says “I think maybe I am all desire.
Larissa smiles. "I can see, Nareth. I hope you will be able to live with it. I can't. Maybe I am too weak."
Nareth sighs and turns towards Larissa. "Him..."
"But I *know* how it is. And...He knows I know..."
Larissa's smile trembles in confusion now. "What do you mean?"
Nareth frowns. "I'm sorry...maybe I misunderstood. I do that frequently."
Larissa nods. "No problem, I just crave for understanding. Understanding it all."
Nareth nods. "I saw too much, Larissa...and i thought...but... I saw too much. "
Larissa tilts her head, with a kind concern. "What did you see?"
Nareth "You see that much and you have to keep *on* seeing... Too far. I saw too far, that's all. "
Larissa sighs. "You speak in riddles now, Nareth."
"I am afraid, Larissa. I have seen too much, and I have done...questionable things. Lorne knows it all. "
"But of course He would."
"I don't mean to speak in riddles. I don't mean to. But if I said the truth... "
Larissa blinks. "What would happen then?"
"I...don't know. I might not be able to stay here, and...there's no where else I could go. I have said too much already. "
Larissa's eyes widen. "Please. I care for you. Please don't go distant." she looks away for a moment "I don't want to be understood anymore. I want to understand."
"But Larissa..I have been so, so distant. I...My knife's so nice and sharp I want to get to work right away if I get a chance."
Nareth bites her lip and turns towards the others.
Larissa sighs. "You find joy in pain, right, Nareth?"
"I find joy...in all things, but the greatest joy, I have found in pain. "
Larissa frowns. "I wish I had that Nareth, I would be in heavens right now."
"It's all I know. But...Lorne says I am not evil...even after Whitechapel. Which I do not understand. "
Larissa frowns more and watches the fire herslef. "Lorne sees the world..." she blinks, her eyes reflecting His gaze.
Nareth nods. "He has seen so much more than me, and I have seen too much. " She stops "You care for me? "
Larissa nods.
" I...Larissa, I do not know *how* to care...that way. Any way. I know joy...but that is all. "
Larissa smiles. "That is important. I hope you find it, in whatever form."
"I find it...constantly. I could...show you...if you wished. "
Larissa nods, curiously
"You have made the fire. But you no longer burn?"
Larissa sighs. "It is channeled. It burns brightly"
"I always wondered...where the wood comes from. How it always burns. So, we have each...sacrificed something of ourselves for the library."
Larissa raises an eyebrow. "What have you sacrificed if I may ask?"
"It's a secret. For the sentry ward...it had to be something personal...and I didn't really have anything. But...Lorne says that if I tell, it won't work. "
Larissa nods. "Ok."
"But turn not pale, beloved snail, but come and join the dance.” Nareth pauses "I'm sorry. No riddles."
Larissa smiles still.
Nareth looks at her intentlt: "But..you would have me show you joy? I must be clear. "
Larissa nods. "I am an all curious being."
"I see. But...there are rules. Lorne's rules. I could not show you here. Well, I could... "
Larissa nods patiently "However you wish"
Nareth looks at Larissa again and cocks her head to one side. "However I wish? "
"I mean anywhere"
"Upstairs...then."

They quietly go upstairs, as all others in the library seem to be engaged in conversation about Brit’s growing reflexes.

Nareth leads Lar to the far corner of the attic. "I must be clear. Pain... Any damage I inflict, I can heal. Whether the damage is to myself or another."
Larissa nods very slowly.
"However, I cannot heal damage done *to* me by another. Nor damage done to another by someone else."
Larissa whispers, almost trembling. "You could teach Lorne lessons on that you know, healing the damage he has done..."
Nareth holds out her hand, and slowly something begins to form there, as though coalescing from he flesh. "Lorne has taught me...control. "
Nareth holds an open straight razor, where there was nothing before. "You still *feel* pain?"
Larissa watches.
Nareth: "Even after your sacrifice? Or do you feel nothing?" Nareth watches the library, to be sure it does not misinterpret her actions.
Larissa inspects her feelings. "I am at peace, and the pain is less. Sacrifice would not be a sacrifice if it did not hurt."
Nareth : "No, it would not be, would it. Is it a sacrifice if you welcome the pain?"
Larissa frowns. "I think not"
Nareth sighs.
Larissa tilts her head. "But I am not sure"
Nareth: "Then I have sacrificed nothing... Come nearer, Larissa, if you wish to see."
Larissa scratches her head, stepping closer. In a sudden swipe, Nareth flicks the razor across Larissa's left cheek, leaving a deep gash. "Joyous... " Nareth glances from the wound to the blade.
Larissa gasps and pulls up her hand, touching it with wide eyes. Staring at her.
Nareth: "But that is a very small joy. I can feel it, what you feel... All that you feel."
Nareth glances towards the stairs....
Larissa winces, as the pain reaches her, and looks at the blood on her hand, still shocked.
"It is not what you expected?"
Larissa shakes her head, to Nareth. "I actually wished for that"
Again, Nareth flicks the blade out, catching Larissa across her brow.
"And did you wish for that, as well?"
Larissa Starostin cries out, and struggles to stand her ground, stepping back only one step. She blinks as some blood drops into her eye.
Nareth smiles. "Joyous. " Nareth leans forward and licks at the blood on Larissa's cheek.
Larissa Starostin looks at her, wincing still, and watches her closely. She trembles, but does not move otherwise. Nareth's mouth moves to Larissa's own, so that she'll taste the blood as well.
Nareth pulls back, ending the kiss, grinning at Larissa. "A very, very small joy."
Larissa closes her eyes, and nods, slighlty blushing. She traces the wound on her cheek.
Nareth: "Don't worry. When I am done, I will take it back. There will be no scars."
Larissa opens her eye and looks at her, watching the razor and her. "You take it all back? Always?"
"No, not always. Only if it is desired...or if I am ordered to do so. Or if I wish it myself. "
Nareth's hands are beginning to tremble.
"Would you wish me to continue?"
Larissa Starostin looks at her. "I said I want to understand. These are just tickles"
Nareth laughs. "Yes, indeed. Only tickles."
"Would you like to see real joy?
Larissa nods with a smile. "Oh, yes."
Nareth draws back the razor, moving so fast an eye could hardly follow, and using it like a knife, plunges the blade into Larissa's belly. She holds it there.
"Don't move....I might...slip."
Denenthorn curses and stalks onto the second floor
Larissa gasps and spasms, gripping Nareth's hand as she holds the knife, groaning.
Nareth begins slowly drawing the razor downwards, cutting through flesh and internal organs.
"Tell me what you feel..."
Hycanthian snorts softly, "Didn't want to tell you ANY fucking how" she mumbled, walking out the door
Seeing her grandfather, Nareth quickly withdraws the blade, slinging blood across the floor.
Nareth curses under her breath.
Denenthorn growls and points towards the stairs "OUT!" he screams he doesn't even question the razor blade, he will later, but for now he is on a war path.
Nareth clenches her fist and the razor vanishes back into her flesh.
Larissa breathes repeatedly, trying to collect her thoughts but falls to the ground as the knife is released.
"Grandfather...I have to heal her first... She would die...if I leave her like this. "
Denenthorn shouts: "HY GET YER ASS BACK IN HERE!"
Hycanthian moves to the door, "Okay you asshat, DON'T SHOUT AT ME! GOD" she shouted back, moving for the stairs
Denenthorn growls "Well fix her and get out!"
Nareth concentrates on healing the wounds. They close quickly.
"Larissa... " Nareth looks up "Grandfather, she agreed. She asked me too show her. "
Lio leans in, looking sleepy but worried. "Everything okay? I was on my way by and heard shouting."
Larissa gasps, and kneels, covering her belly.
Denenthorn glares "we'll talk later, now get the FUCK out!"
Nareth helps her up. "The wounds are healed, Larissa. The pain will pass in time. "
Larissa nods silently, still dealing with the shock. Nareth looks up.
"Where do you wish me to go, Grandfather?"
"I don't give aflying fuck just get off this floor! "
Hycanthian snarls softly. "Don't be hateful towards your granddaughter"
Nareth is almost speachless "Mother... "
Hycanthian bows her head, "Nareth"
Lio Sobczak stares, startled, at the top of the stairs.
Denenthorn snarls back
Hycanthian: "Don't get hateful with me old man. Don't you EVER shout at Nareth again"
"Don't get pissy with me, young lady"
Hycanthian tilts her head, "Fuck you"
Denenthorn: "I'LL FUCKING SHOUT AT WHO I WANT TO SHOUT" he growls
Hycanthian getting up close to her father, her fangs showed, "Anyone you can shout at, BUT DO NOT shout at your granddaughter!" she hissed loudly in his face
Lio steps slowly further into the library.
A loud crash can be heard as it seems Denny kicks over the chem set upstairs "Larissa get OUT!" he shouts as he notices her here
Nareth is already downstairs, explaining to someone "More...specific... I cut Larissa. I used my razor. But...she asked me to."
Denenthorn gets in Hy's face "Why do you care you abandoned her here" he snarls
Larissa moans slightly, still feeling her inner sides slwoly mending.
Nareth continues "She understood what was coming. She asked for more, and I have healed her. Mostly..."
Hycanthian’s expression shattered, she was grateful for the glasses, "I didn't abandon her....i was told she hated me and never wished to speak to me again. I gave her space" she mumbled, growling to his snarl.
Nareth looks down at the dress, suddenly feeling very silly in it. "Oh."
Larissa Starostin looks up at Denny and collects her strength. She looks around seeing all the blood, and leans forward, covering her mouth.
Denenthorn stares at Hy, deep anger in his eyes.
Hycanthian shoving past him, she moved towards Larissa, kneeling slightly, "Do you need any help?"
Nareth holds her hands out to Lorne. "There is no blood, see? I put it all back. "
Lio blinks around, between the people near him and the stairs to a world of noise and shouting. He mutters to himself, "What on Earth happened after I left?"
Nareth glances anxiously to Lio.
"Nothing...nothing has happened. Larissa asked...and so I showed her...and that was all... "
Larissa slowly rises, and concentrates on her own blood to disappear from the floor. She gets paler, as it is hard to distinguish from her inner blood and what is outsides.
Hycanthian Zsigmond didn't touch Larissa, but kept to where if she had to catch her she would, "Larissa, look at me, not the blood"
Larissa Starostin staggers, and looks at the woman.
Hycanthian pleads, now. "Father, wouldn't it be NICE for you to help one of your own down the stairs?" She turns, eyes blazing behind her glasses.
Denenthorn snarls and begins bashing windows and desroying books.
Hycanthian grabs Larissa, sort of holding to her, "Father, calm down damnit"
Lio ducks at the noise and looks to Lorne, fear and confusion clear in black, matte eyes.
Larissa looks up, and the books fly away from Denny, bewildered.
Denenthorn takes his sword to the desk. "Son of a Bitch! "
Hycanthian Zsigmond shouts through the floor, "WILL SOMEONE PLEASE COME UP HERE BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT!?"
Larissa looks down at her stomach, and ruined jacket. "Oh, damn"
Lio widens his eyes at the stairs and then turns to Lorne again. "I think it's a situation, Lorne. What should we do?"
Hycanthian looks towards Larissa, then frowns, looking back towards her father, mumbling in a mix of vampiric latin and another language.
Lio shakes his head, holding his hands out as if to distance himself. "I'm way to tired for this."
Lorne walks to the opposite side of the chairs, and furrows His brow at Holdfast "He's probably just going to shout at you."
Hycanthian "If this is over me leaving Nareth, I had my reasons father" she managed, turning completely.
Larissa shakes her head. "I am fine, thank you for your help." She slowly regains her balance, and walks towards the stairs, looking weak still, but able to walk.
Lio snarls at the stairs, fingers curling into fists. "We're just going to stand here?!"
Denenthorn's purple eye snaps at Hold "What do you want?!" he growls
Holdfast4 Allen approaches Denny slowly "Are you alright?"
Hycanthian nodding, she took Larissa's arm gently, "Let me help you down the stairs okay?"
Lorne Harlequin smiles at Lio, speaking to Nareth "I believe she will be down soon. Then you can complete the healing. As to what Denny's issue is, there's a question for the ages"
Larissa Starostin nods and leans on the woman whispering. "I am sorry"
Lio: Or a question for Brit.
Hycanthian "Do not be...please...." she murmured, starting to walk very slowly
Lorne shakes His head "I do not know, Nareth. It certainly doesn't sound consistent"
Denenthorn: "Hy.. bring Lar to me"
Nareth whispers, "I only cut her."
Hycanthian looks towards her father, not even caring to pay attention.
Lio shivers, his posture low and curved. A few of his teeth glimmer through a deep sneer, his eyes trained on the top of the stairs.
Larissa hurries down the stairs, wincing, not really wishing to face Denny right now.
Nareth stands.
Hycanthian helps Larissa down, then looks to Lio, "Help her sit please"
Nareth Nishi: "Larissa, wait."
Lio straightens, his aggression melting.
Nareth: "I have to be sure that...I took it all back. "
Hycanthian looks up towards her father, "Happy? You act like a fucking child and actually scared someone"
Nareth leans forward and presses her lips to Larissa's. Larissa nods to her, and shots a glance at Lorne, then closes her eyes. Finding internal damage that has not yet healed, Nareth’s energies knit the severed tissues and puts blood back into veins and capillaries as she holds her.
Denenthorn growls and holds out his hands and begins reparing the room he just destroyed.
Nareth breathes out, filling Larissa.
Lio reaches out to Larissa. "Here, sit down, you don't look alright..."
Nareth steps back, breaking the kiss. "It's done. Good...as new. "
Hycanthian "actually had some damn good news to tell you, guess i don't need to tell you now" she murmured, walking down the stairs, while watching Nareth and Larissa.
Lio stands, shivering and confused, at Nareth and Larissa.
Denenthorn Masukami: "HY, come back here"
Nareth Nishi: "I am sorry, Larissa. I knew...I knew I shouldn't do that...but you said...you asked...and... "
Larissa clears her throat, and touches her face.
Hycanthian froze, not liking how her father's tone sounded...hearing heartbeats in her ears and voices in her mind. "Why? All you'll do is get mad at me again and blame me for leaving my daughter" she shot up
Denenthorn continues waving his hands arund the room, almost magician like as he repairs the broken glass that held the chemicals.
Nareth: "Oh, your face... "
Denenthorn mutters "I'm sorry" it's almost inaudible
Nareth reaches out, gently touching the gash on Larissa's forehad, then the one on her left cheek. "Would you keep those, or have me heal them?"
Hycanthian holding back the tears, "No. You're not. I left her....but there's a reason behind it. You REALLY want to know...come to the g-graveyard" she murmured, not in the mood to stay here or she'd break down.
Lio drops the hand he'd held out for Larissa with an exasperated grunt. "Ladies, perhaps this'd be a lot easier if we all had a nice sit down?"
Nareth: "I will leave them if you wish....if Lorne...if... "
Nareth glances towards Lio and the table.
Denenthorn Masukami sighs "Denenthorn Masukami, Guardian Knight, what in he world is wrong with you?" he says to himself as he finishes up the repairs
Larissa shakes her head to Nareth. "Make them disappear, please"
Lio watches the stranger rush out the door and looks back up at the stairs. He huffs in exasperation again, throwing his hands above him.
Nareth touches the wounds again with her fingertips, and they instantly vanish. "There... "
Denenthorn arches his wings and appears to disappear leaving unnoticed.
Larissa nods to her. "I need to be alone now." She casts a final glance at Lorne, and takes a step back, disappearing."
Nareth sighs, somewhat weakened: "I..think I should sit down. " She watches as Larissa leaves.

Scrutinized

Larissa walks out of the air to appear by Lorne, with a bit tired eyes, but smiles at him. Lorne crosses His arms against His chest, and stares at Larissa with a look not at all pleased, but quietly, motionlessly scrutinizing.

She looks up into his voids, a bit of uncertainity playing on her smile, but she smiles still, acting confident. "What is your problem, now, old man?"

Lorne moves in response not at all for a few moments, then inclines His head, giving an emphasis to the angerred angle of His brow. Still, He watches her a while longer, and suddenlly speaks in a noticeably reserved tone "Why have you been antagonizing Nikita?"

She chuckles "Ah, that?" she blushes and looks seemingly relieved now that she knows why Lorne is concerned. "Have /I/ been antagonising her? I merely joined a conversation about finances, and you were there...."

He looks quite completely unconvinced, even slightly more agravated. He makes a sound akin to a derisive grunt "The question was not /have/ you, Larissa, but /why/ have you. Do not presume to lie to Me."

Larissa kicks the marble with her sneakers. "I tend to get carried away with the moments, you know me, dearest one." She looks away "I am sorry if an ambigous sentence struck some nerve in her." she wonders for a brief sec, flashing a gaze at Lorne "Maybe she has bad conscious? She could have chosen to let it go." she looks up, her eyes showing more exhaustion. " I merely looked her in the eye the other day, and she was all wishing to end me if I take another step closer. I so wished her to keep that promise."

Lorne clears His throat, speaking in a perfect affectation of Nikita's voice "If you take one more step in my direction, I will end you and Lorne and I can just fight over it later."

Lorne Harlequin's expression changes to one of mocking-non-chalance, and speaks in Larissa's voice "Please do". His expression changes to one of distraction from a task at hand, "As you wish." He says in Nikita's voice.

Larissa inspects her shoe in great detail. "I cant exist like this, Lorne. I..." she blinks some tears to disappear and looks up at him. "I am sorry."

Lorne's expression is temperred with pain--pain that apparently rises strong into the anger, as though it had been waiting just under the surface, just under a hair's width of restraint. The features of His face quiver saddly, and He raises His hands to her shoulders, swiftly at first, but slowing, leaving all His body poised, as though He expends great effort in preventing Himself from embracing her. The anger in His voice is edged and laced with anguish "What is it that hurts so much? Why do you seek to strangle all the other flowers, even those not in My garden, or even potentially? If you are angry, why would you attack Nikita, and not Me?"

Larissa's eyes flicker as she understands his poise, and brushes her fingers against her face. She searches her own feelings, and the words. She opens and clutches her fingers. "I was angry at her, and therefore I chose to hurt her. I never claimed to be wise, and I cannot..." she blows out a great amount of air "I have anger, but I am in no control."

Lorne furrows His brow, half-way between both the emotions on His face. He pulls her into an embrace, squeazing her tight, and nuzzling the side of her neck. His voice comes again, not angry, but stern in a softly empathetic kind of a way. "Do not interact with her again. Do not exchange words with her. Avoid any area you see her in. You don't understand what you are tempting. It isn't the end you believe you want that she would give you, and I could not stand losing you like this...not like this..." His voice trails off almost into pleading as He /says/ 'not like this'

Larissa sighs and nods without words, slowly fading away., her eyes regarding him sadly.

"Innocent" remark

Lorne grins just slightly, working inward slow to the sides of Nikita’s spine. He looks towards the door, and smiles warmly Larissa's way, looking back out the door for a moment. Nikita keeps her eyes half closed, not looking Larissa's way but knowing she is there, "Ello”. Larissa smiles back to Lorne and everyone present as she steps in. "Greetings."

Nerissa wanders in and moves over, hugging Bridgette tight out of the blue before she moves to Denny, doing the same. "About time for me to seek my bed, I'm afraid." He stands up and hugs Nerissa tightly he whispers softly into her ear "I'll see you tomorrow, I guess"

Lorne Harlequin smiles warmly Nerissa's way, nodding "Sleep well, Nerissa". Bridgette Plunkett starts to drift. Nerissa hugs a bit firmer and nods as she presses her brow lightly against his chin. "Tomorrow. Promise." she tells him with a smile and turns to give the other's a smile and waves before her shape grows tattered and disappears. Denenthorn looks over to Brit "You need to go to bed to, my little crazy spender"

Lorne works His thumbs into the muscles beside Nikita's spine, massaging slowly down between her shoulder blades with firm pressure. Nikita leans more as Lorne's finger work subtle magic on her.

Denenthorn pulls up some papers and looks at Lorne "You haven't talked to Vlad, have you" he asks simply. Larissa puts her hand on her hips and watches Lorne massage Nikita for a while. She walks to Brit and kisses her on the forehead, then nods to Denny. "It seems everyone is having a beautiful evening.”

Nikita: “Denny is on the verge of having a stroke actually.” She smiles sweetly though it doesn't reach her eyes. Larissa smiles at Denny, happy for the distraction and an interested tilt of head. "Really?"

Bridgette smiles nodding to Larissa’s previous statement. “Yah....mine was way good.” Nikita adds with a snicker: “Brit went shopping in Venice, Lar. Bought a bit of perfume.” Larissa searches Brit's eyes, smiling. "I am happy to hear that". Bridgette whispers, "I was told to buy 'stuff' and it was a little bottle."

Lorne leans slightly to one side, motioning vaguely towards Denny "Please note the veinous swelling about the temple area" small, red arrows blink into existence near Denny's buldging veins, flashing in and out of sight for a moment.

Nikita Wilder laughs at the arrows, a true laugh that makes her eyes twinkle for a moment.. then it's gone. Nikita Wilder blinks.

Larissa Starostin chuckles and closes her eyes for a bit, leaning closer to Brit's neck. She sighs "Ah"

A guy in swimwear appears for a short time…

Nikita: “Oh look, the circus has come to town.”

Bridgette Plunkett perks and tells the man, "I SAW YOU IN A MAGAZINE!" She runs across the floor and gets an old sportman mag from like the 60's and flips it open. "LOOK! Mark SPITZ" She beams. "He was a swimmer too."

Swimwear guy disappears.

Nikita: Something we said? Nice mag find, Brit.

Bridgette continues to hold her magazine and says, "Oh...I guess he thought we would want an autograph or something." She shows Larissa Mark in the speedo.

Lorne whistle innocently, putting the wand away. Larissa opens her eyes, looking at the magazine and the guy in swimwear. "Interesting parfume"

Lorne cants His head, wonderring at the unfortunate angle of it.

Nikita: „Someone ordered Brit a lapdance?” She pouts. “I didn't get one?” She looks up at Lorne. "Cheap skate."

Nikita: Oh.. lookie.

Lorne Harlequin works fingers lower and lower down Nikita's back, grinning as He reaches the small of her back. Larissa shots a glance at Nikita "I am sure soon you would"

Nikita looks back to Larissa. "Why yes. Women have had to do that for years. I believe a lapdance from a male would be enjoyable however I would rather have picked my own dancer.

Bridgette beams to Larissa. "It's new. and....is too much." Larissa turns to Brit, making sure she does Not look at Lorne all this time. "And what brought you to Venice?" Bridgette smiles happy that questions are back to ones she knows. "An airplane."

Nikita presses to Lornes hands, slightly biting her bottom lip as he hits her lower back.

Larissa Starostin nods. "I wish I went with you." Bridgette Plunkett nods and says, "It was beautiful...but...if we go again...um....Denny didn't mean it when he said to use his card for stuff."

Nikita Wilder: Larissa? Our dear Brit took fancy to some rather expensive perfume.” Larissa Starostin nods, and smiles, patting Brit's hand. "You have very good taste, little one"

Nikita: “200,000 euro worth”

Bridgette beams. “It was just a little bottle.”

Lorne presses specific nubs of muscles and nerve bundles where tailbone and pelvis come together, then works out along the pelvic ridge. "200,000 euros. Luckily, Denny is loaded...apparently"

Larissa swallows and chuckles. “At least it is spent on something worthy.” She winks to Brit.

Nikita comments with a chuckle: „I believe I will asked him to fund my next trip, for the next six or seven times I see him.”

Nikita shivers a bit as Lorne hits some nerves, shifting her weight from one foot to the other.

Denenthorn looks to Niki "My dear you are not my daughter, dun expect to see a cent"

Nikita: “Denny, I am crushed. And I never expect anything from anyone, as a rule.” Denenthorn Masukami laughs. Nikita Wilder: ”I think Haven needs a dish washer if you some extra cash for bills, Denny.” Denenthorn shrugs and pulls out five hundred dollars in large bills and tosses them to Niki "Here something for the road" Nikita takes it then gives him a look of mock hurt. “Are you asking me to leave, Denny? But. but.. I'm getting a rub?" She moves back til Lornes' fingers press back into her back.

Bridgette wonders if she should get a job. Since it is obviously associated with earning money.

Denenthorn smirks and shrugs "You know me, Toxia's biggest asshole Librarian ever" He knows for a fact Brit wil never need a job an Ethan might not want her getting one.

Nikita: I have taken a moment to consider your request.. " She tucks the money in her pocket. "I've declined it but thank you for the donation" Nikita closes her eyes and concentrates on the rub. She mumbles “Denny loves me.. really.”

Denenthorn shrugs "There's plenty more where that came from"

“We can work on a fee to keep my out of the library forever if you like, Denny?

Bridgette quirks curiously, "So..why are you upset cuase of the paper?"

Nikita: “If you would let me field this, Denny?

Larissa watches Nikita for a while. "I am sure you would be quite talented earning that money yourself"

Nikita stand up very straight, the air in the library vibrating a bit, her eyes turn to Larissa. In an overly calm tone, "Meaning?"

Larissa smiles and waits a while before answering, enjoying the little tension. She then waves innocently to Brit. "You make beautiful necklaces"

Nikita looks up at Lorne and says, very simply. "I hope you have a spare"

Bridgette nods in agreement to Larissa. "Though...she made Pieter's too, I think..."

Lorne Harlequin smiles mischieviously down to Nikita "Nikita, really? And I thought you knew Me better..." He begins working slowly back up her back. Looking up to Larissa "Did you want a lap dance as well, Larissa?"

Denenthorn yawns "I'm sleepy"

The air in the library still shimmers, Nikita’s eyes taking on a slight glow.

Bridgette might be looking at the carpet.

Larissa chuckles. "You enjoy seeing me around when you entertain others, so I would certainly enjoy it when you give one to Nikita"

Bridgette lisps, "Give what?"

Denenthorn looks to Brit "Nothing, swetheart, ignore them"

Lorne works carefully out along Nikita's shoulder blade, muscles, injecting tiny shots of ecstacy into her nerves as He leaves the shoulder blades, and works back down past the center of her back

Lorne: “I enjoy seeing you, Larissa. You are a joy to be near. Talented, beautiful, and clever.”

Nikita heads for the door, mumbling in Gaelic, all the chairs tipping over as she goes, ending at the one Larissa sits in.

Larissa looks at her, her lips trembling slightly as she smiles. "Did Lorne struck some nerves?"

Bridgette blinks and says to no one. "A hissy fit", she quotes from earlier.

Lorne speaks to Brit, pointing out the door "As you see, Merma only went to the porch, and nowhere else. Denenthorn looks to Lorne and rolls his eyes "I swear I think you're a man whore sometimes". Lorne smiles to Denny, something glinting happily in the depth of His eyevoid "The feeling if more than mutual, My esteemed colleague." He grins, and steps out the door.
